Symposium on Gender, Family, and Marital Relationships among Arab Refugee Families in Canada

 

The Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration (MRCSSI) and Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), member of Qatar Foundation, are pleased to invite you to participate in a symposium on “Gender, Family, and Marital Relations among Arab Refugee Families in Canada” on Friday, February 23rd, 2018. This symposium will be held at Queen Victoria hall Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, at 300 King St.,from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. The program will include the launch of DIFI research report, “Pre and Post Migration Stressors and Marital Relations among Arab Refugee Families in Canada,” and three panel discussions on gender roles, marital and parent-child relations, service needs, and policy implications. Experts in the fields of immigration and settlement, social and health care services, social policy, and law enforcement will be present.
